  • Inner Components 1) Bracket
    2) Emplacing device for fibers: used for storing connectors, protectors and spare fibers orderly; the length of the spare fibers should not shorter than 1.6m and the curvature radius should not be less than 37.5mm; should provide recognizable mark for re-fusion and provide enough room for operation; adopts horizontal gliding type, the loose-leaf turning type, the standing-up type or the expanding type.
    3) Fiber fixing device: used for fixing fiber protective tube and fiber reinforced components.
    4) Electronic linking device: used for connecting, earthing or disconnecting metal components in the fiber cables.
    Seal Components
  • Heat shrink method: sealed after heating the tubular or ribbon Poly (Ethylen) (PE) heat shrink material spread inside;
  • Mechanical method: sealed in mechanical way using adhesives, insulfuration self-adhesives, and sulfuration rubber plasticene compounds.
  • Fiber Protector Protect the connector with heat shrink protective case, protective nip, V-slot rubber.
    4 Material All material used for FOSC are stable in their physical and chemical properties; all material are compatible with each other, fiber cable protective material as well as other material used in outside connection devices in order to avoid corrosion or other electric damages.
    The engineering plastic materials which are used for FOSC are up to the standard.
  • The external metal components and fixing components are made from stainless steel, which can meet the standards of GB3281 and BG1220.
  • Sulfuration rubber materials which are used for seal components are up to standard of GB5577; heat shrink seal materials are up to standards of YD/T590.1 and YD/T590.2.
  • The materials and filling used for reinforced protector of fiber connectors is lower than 120℃, the heat intenerate temperature is no lower than 90℃ and can be used for a long time under -40℃~+60℃.
  • All materials are innocuity, non-corruption, no side effects to human health or other outside connection devices.
  • 5 Appearance All components are high quality design and finish, free of burr, air bubble, pinholes, warp, cracks, sharp edges or other defects. All background color is even and continual.
    6 Fiber Connector Protector The connectors are protected and free from corrosion of moisture (connectors are easily attenuated before being protected), with the mechanical and environmental properties up to the standard of IEC 1073-1.
    7 Optical Property The spare fiber coiled in the fiber emplacing device; the fiber connector won’t attenuate during the FOSC installation operation period.
    8 Seal Performance After the closures are sealed, then pressurized up to 100kPa±5kPa in water, immersed in 15 minutes, there are no air bubbles; Or observed for 24 hours, there is no change of air pressure.
    9 Re-entry Performance For normal working and re-entry the closures three times. The closures are pressurized up to 100kPa±5kPa in water, immersed in 15 minutes, there are no air bubbles, and then observed for 24 hours, there is no change of air pressure.
    10 Mechanical Performance Tensile Strength The axial tensile strength should not be less than 1000N
    Compress The 600N/10cm (Aerial-hanger, pipelined) or 3000N/10cm (Direct Buried) of compressive force put onto the closure. The force will hold for 1 minute.
    Impact FOSC can stand up to 16N·m vertical impact three times.
    Bending The closure/cable interface can stand up to 150N tensile force, 10 cycles of ±90° bending.
    Torsion The FOSC can bear not less than 50N·m twist force, 10 cycles of ±90° twist.
    Axial Tension The closure/cable interface can bear up to100 N force
    11 Environmental Performance Temperature Cycling The highest and lowest temperatures of the FOSC meet the standard in chart 2, 10 times of cycling in the temperature cycling test.
    60 kPa±5kPa air-pressure is conducted into the closures, then check the air pressure to find the degradation no more than 5kPa; No air bubbles if put into water in 15 minutes.
    Continual High Temperature In the test under continual high temperature It can last 100h under 60℃±2℃. 60 kPa±5kPa air-pressure is conducted into the closures, the degradation of the air pressure is no more than 3kPa; No air bubbles if put into water in 15 minutes.
    Vibration FOSC can stand 10Hz vibration frequency, swing being ±3mm for 106  times. 60 kPa±5kPa air-pressure is conducted into the closures, the degradation of the air pressure keeps stable; No air bubbles if put into water in 15 minutes.
    Vapor Penetration In vapor penetration test, The penetration rate is less than 0.1mg/h when the FOSC is put under water for 24 h under 60℃±2℃.
    Sun Radiation In the Sun radiation test, after 1.12kW/m2 radiant intensity, with gross amount of 8.96kW·h/m2 sun radiation, 16N·m impact force for three times, when 60 kPa±5kPa air-pressure is conducted into the closures, the degradation of the air pressure keeps stable; No air bubbles if put into water in 15 minutes and the shell and the components are free from crack, damage and obvious distortion.
    Chemical Corrosion In the chemical corrosion test, immersed in 5%HC1、NaOH、NaC1 liquor separately for 24h, when 60 kPa±5kPa air-pressure is conducted into the closures, the degradation of the air pressure keeps stable; No air bubbles if put into water in 15 minutes, meanwhile no weightlessness, no dissolve expansion or no corrosion.
    12 Electrical Performancev Insulation Resistance Putting the encapsulated closures in the 1.5m water for 24 hours, the insulation resistance between the metallic element themselves and between metallic element and the earth is less than 2×104MΩ.
    Dielectric Strength Put the closures in the 1.5m water for 24hours, after 15KV DC direct current for I minute between the metallic elements themselves and between metallic element and the earth, Non-puncture, no arc-cover.
